Real estate in Kingwood has seen an unusual and atypical trend over time. Though most of the country saw a real estate bubble from 2000-2010, Texas, and Houston in general saw only modest increases that kept in line with inflation. For that reason, during the Great Recession and housing price crash from 2007-2010, Kingwood felt very little impact and generally continued to see price increases. Kingwood remains one of the most affordable places to live, not only in Texas, but in all of Houston.
